The CRISP pipeline

Usual reading order: Conform → Rules → Identity → Span → Publish. Architecturally CORE has four internal stages. Conform is where enterprise facts are first written; Rules is the catalogue that completes them — and that catalogue is sometimes consulted on source tables before the write. Identity, Span, and Publish each own a later boundary. Shaping source rows (splitting a range into months, checking a birthday captured twice in the same feed) belongs in silver when you can — Adaptor input.
